How do I apply for a visa?Chinese

Please click on one of the following links:

  • If you live outside of Shanghai, Anhui, Zhejiang, or Jiangsu provinces, click here.
  • If you are not a citizen of the People’s Republic of China, click here
  • If you passport will expire in less than a year, click here.
  • If you were issued a U.S. visa any time during the past two years, click here.
  • If your company is a member of the Amcham visa referral program, click here.
  • If you are traveling on a Foreign Affairs passport, click here.
  • To find out more about a specific visa type, please click on the category below that best describes the kind of visa you need to travel to the United States


Once you know what kind of visa you need, you must fill out an application form, pay the application fee, and make an appointment through the Visa Call Center.
